Anthony Joshua confirms next fight date at Wembley and names four possible opponents
Anthony Joshua has revealed his next fight will take place in September at Wembley Stadium in London.
The two-time heavyweight champion racked up four wins in less than 12 months against Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou, back to his devastating best after knocking out the former UFC champion in March.
After two fights in Saudi Arabia, the 34-year-old is now set to return to the capital and headline at Wembley, the setting for his famous 2017 victory over Wladimir Klitschko.
“Whenever they tell me there’s a date, you know I’ll be ready 100 per cent,’ Joshua told talkSPORT.
‘It’s gonna be in London, Wembley Stadium.
This is what I’m being told. If that’s what they say, they normally back their word so let’s go with that.
‘Wembley, September 20 or 21.’
For now, ‘AJ’ will now sit back and wait for the dust to settle in what is a huge summer in the heavyweight division.
